DESCRIPTION:For the past 25 years\, SambaDá has been building a musical bridge between traditional and contemporary Brazilian sounds\, with roots in Africa and influences from around the U.S and the Caribbean. Brazilian natives Papiba Godinho and Dandha Da Hora bring their lifelong dedication to Afro-Brazilian song\, dance\, guitar and percussion to the group. Papiba is a Mestre of the Brazilian art of capoeira and Dandha has been performing with the world-renowned cultural organization Ilê Aiyê since she was 6 years old. Brazilian percussionists Abel Damasceno and Will Martíns lay down intricate and infectious grooves\, together with master Brazilian bassist Elvis Aeron and drummer Will Bates. Anne Stafford adds sax and flute to the mix\, and together they create a joyous blend of Afro-Samba-Reggae-Funk guaranteed to keep feet dancing and open hearts! \n\nFree Event \n

During this time\, they were finishing singles\, and wrapping up some music videos that have been very successful on the largest Reggae Publication\, ReggaeVille. \nAs they defined their sound\, these guys have been blazing the trail to put more latin flavor into our amazing reggae scene. Opening for bands like Cultura Profetica and Residente\, it’s allowed a new audience to be captured by the infectious grooves and strong lyrical content of singer El Gato. E.N has brought a top-ranking energetic show to stages across the US and more plans to tour and connect positive energy to all people in 2022. \nE.N Young has been a frontline soldier for Roots Reggae music his entire life\, joining world music band Stranger in 2002 after having an eclectically musical childhood. After four studio albums\, E.N dove into his solo career\, rendering his first album Luck & Chance No More under his own Roots Musician Label by 2010. Roots Musician Records\, as well as E.N Young’s Imperial Sound Recording Studio\, has become a mecca for roots reggae artists ever since. As for production credits\, E.N Young has worked with current headlining acts\, like Steel Pulse\, Pepper\, Rebelution\, Stick Figure\, Slightly Stoopid\, Trevor Hall\, Million Stylez\, Alborosie\, Sizzla\, Lutan Fyah\, Don Carlos\, Mykal Rose\, KBong\, Iya Terra and beyond. MohaviSoul gained national attention at the Bluegrass Ramble in September 2021 in Raleigh\, NC as an invited Showcase Artist at the IBMA World of Bluegrass and was the first band since Nickel Creek invited to represent SoCal at IBMA’s World of Bluegrass. MohaviSoul wraps storytelling in music with a blend of original music and great covers. Just released singles “Hurry Up and Wait” (11/2023)\, a cover of FastBall’s radio hit called “The Way” (12/2023)\, & another original “Get Lucky Again” (2/2024) from their new 6th self-titled album “MohaviSoul.” released in April 2024\, is getting radio play nationally and internationally.
