DESCRIPTION:The Epic ride Saturday June 8th\, 2024\n4 ride options to choose from. \nAll rides start at 7:15 AM from Ryan Park\nLocated at 390 Hidden Trails Rd\, Escondido\, CA 92027. \nCourse closes at 5:30pm. There is an allotted 10.5 hours to finish your ride. \nPre-ride packed pickup will be held on Friday June 7\, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Located at Ryan Park in Escondido. Must bring copy of phot ID and two signed waivers. \nCounty Waiver\nGranfondo Waiver \nWhat’s Included in the Ride \n\n\nCustom finisher medal \n\n\nCommemorative Bib \n\n\n5 fully stocked aid stations \n\n\nSAG / mechanical support on the ride \n\n\nCHP escort and safety on Mt Palomar \n\n\nFinish Line BBQ lunch \n\n\nLive Band \n\n\nBallast Point Beer Garden benefiting Life Sports Foundation!!!! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBreakfast:  No one rides hungry! Join us for Breakfast at the Expo\, 6:30 – 8:30am. We will be serving coffee\, orange juice\, bananas and pastries. \nRest Stops:  Fully stocked and staffed rest stops at strategic locations along all courses. \nPlease note: The Cole Grade Water Stop will now be located at the BOTTOM of the hill. Please be sure to stop and fill up your water bottle prior to making the climb. \nPost Ride Feast:  Italian Lunch BBQ after the ride. Beer and other beverages are available. \nParticipation:  Open to all riders 15 years of age and up. Each rider must be in sound health for the event chosen. Riders under 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian. \nAge Categories:  Male and female U23 / 23-34 / 35-44 / 45-54 / 55-64 / 65+ / Professional. \nPro-Ride Invitational:  Open to all licensed professionals and former professional riders free of charge. Please contact the event organizers for Pro-Ride entry. \nMaximum Time:  10.5 hours / All courses close at 5:30 pm. \nTimed Climbs:  The south grade of Palomar Mountain will serve as the KOM/QOM for the Gran Fondo riders. \nAwards:  Road Routes – Raffle prizes will be given to the fastest on the KOM/QOM climb of Mt Palomar for each age category. Prizes will be mailed post event. \nElectric Bikes: Electric Bikes are permitted but will not be eligible for KOM / QOM
