Do you have what it takes to sing our nation’s most iconic song?
The Mayor’s National Anthem Contest is now accepting submissions! One talented local will be selected to perform The Star-Spangled Banner live at the 60th Annual Independence Day Festival at Grape Day Park on July 4, 2025.
🎤 How to Enter:
Record a 1-minute sample video of yourself singing The Star-Spangled Banner (a cappella or with minimal accompaniment).
Upload your video to either:

YouTube (set to Public or Unlisted), or

Google Drive (publicly viewable link required)

Submit your entry using the form and include your video link. 📩 FORM HERE
📋 Entry Rules & Guidelines:
Open to residents of North County San Diego (all ages welcome).
Submission deadline: Wednesday, June 17 at midnight
Video must be 1 minute or less and family-friendly.
One entry per person.
Finalist must be available to perform live on July 4 at 4:30 PM at Grape Day Park.
🗳 How the Winner Is Chosen:
Mayor Dane will select the grand prize winner to perform at the festival.
By submitting, you grant the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, permission to share your video on social media and promotional materials.
