The Rancho Bernardo Instrumental Music Program is comprised of 300 students and offers four Concert Band ensembles, the Royal Regiment, Jazz Band, and Color Guard for band students and two String Orchestras, and Symphony Orchestra for string students. The Rancho Bernardo High School performing ensembles have traveled throughout the state of California to perform at various competitions and festivals. Over the years, all concert ensembles have consistently earned superior ratings at various SCSBOA Music Festivals. The Royal Regiment is a perennial SCSBOA 6A Marching Band Championships finalist and most recently the 2023 SCSBOA 6A Gold Medalist.
