Hidden City Sounds: Euphoria Brass Band featuring Shane Hall – California Center for the Arts

Created in 2011, Euphoria Brass Band is an award winning, critically acclaimed seven piece San Diego based musical powerhouse. Euphoria offers an exciting mix of New Orleans infused brass band jazz, funky street beats and new school edginess with a West Coast vibe! A SoCal favorite playing many high-profile music venues, festivals, parades, corporate events and weddings, Euphoria performs internationally as well. They have played several festivals in Mexico and recently performed in Japan at the 30th Annual 2022 Yokohama Jazz Promenade Festival.

With a new project in the works and four recordings to date, Euphoria Brass Band has received 11 San Diego Music Award nominations since 2011. In 2019 and 2020 Euphoria received the San Diego Music Award for “Best Jazz”. In addition, in 2019 the band won CityBeat Magazine’s “ San Diego’s Best Band” award.

Euphoria Brass Band has had the honor of sharing the stage with musical royalty: Dr. John, Trombone Shorty, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Cowboy Mouth, Rebirth Brass Band, Funky Meters, Hot 8 Brass Band, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Soul Rebels Brass Band, Honey Island Swamp Band, California Honeydrops, Red Baraat, Chali 2na, and Rusted Root, among others.
