About the Instructor:

Michael John Saltus is one of San Diego’s most popular salsa instructors, with over 25 years of dance experience and more than 2,500 performances. A dynamic and engaging teacher, he’s been a staple at Queen Bee’s Salsa/Bachata nights for over two decades and is the founder of Positive Energy Dance Company. Michael brings a background in multiple dance styles—including ballroom, cha-cha, and tango—but salsa remains his greatest passion. His classes are energetic, welcoming, and rooted in strong technique, making them perfect for dancers of all levels.

Directions: This event takes place in Studio 4 at the CCAE Studios, NOT in the Concert Hall or Center Theater.
Please note that entry through the Museum is not guaranteed. The most reliable way to access the studios is by parking in the Center’s Main Parking Lot, located further northeast near the James A. Stone swimming pool. From there, walk across the footbridge that connects to Grape Day Park.
Enter the studios through the green gate. As you walk in, the studio buildings will be on your right, numbered in descending order from 4 to 1—Studio 4 is the first door on your right.
